Even though vengeance can easily become one's downfall? A petty emotion, but I've too followed.

...Though, I must admit that our fight was satisfyingly invigorating. Curses aside, the City becomes monotonous quickly.

It's not my style to cause a ruckus, especially not in a place were even small actions can be blown out of proportion.

There's nothing I desire to fight for in this City, at home - yes, but here there is no reason. Strange as it may be, maybe I should thank you for giving me a reason, as short as it was.

You've got me wrong, Takasugi. I don't fight for the sake of fighting, there must be a substantial reason. Like yesterday, my reason for fighting you was to quell my boredom.

There's no benefit in rousing the City, especially not if driven by petty emotions.

Perhaps for the future then, but as I've said before, I don't require a slaughter to sate my boredom

In my world, world, 'Contractors' are those that gain powers outside the bounds of an ordinary human. However, they pay the price with most, if not all of their emotions. Without emotions, there's only rationality and benefit, no rash or unwise judgments.

I don't see the benefit in slaughter, nor do I have the proper rational to justify it - the occasional conflict, like ours yesterday, is enough to satisfy.

Pity? The is the last thing I would desire, I was only giving you reasoning behind why I wouldn't be a fool to kill so recklessly.

I've made use of it enough as an assassin back at home.

I fulfilled my initial reason for joining, aside from disagreements I had with my employer.

It was only a job, not something that I held any emotional attachment to. And as uneventful as things may be now, I've already accomplished my intended goals.
