Destroying the world is not an easy business. I remember when I was your age -at the tender cusp of manhood-... There was a brilliant man who inspired me to become what I am today. I lead the revolution in his name and swore to crush all the Amanto for the plague they have infected our nation with. I hope to become the same for you.

Son, I want you to take over the Kiheitai for me after I perish. My days are but numbered here, and it won't be too long before I die a meaningful death in a blaze of glory.

However, I feel you are lacking in certain areas:

Your sword technique could use refinement. I have little clue as to why you continue to carry around a wooden one. Do you truly intend to imitate your mother's traitorous ex-comrade ? That's not what we do here.
You spend too much time with that other boy. He is clearly a positive influence on you that must be eliminated before he awakens your conscience.
Your wardrobe. Jeans does not strike me as very ominous. I have selected a more fitting yukata patterned with swallows.

...also, I noticed some of my 'special ingredients' happened to be absent from its usual hiding place. Care to explain ?

[ooc: Got in a bad fight with the neighbor, and he was knifed pretty badly and then stabbed Hei and was subsequently electrocuted in return. Fun times all around. Now he's sitting in the hallway where Hei dragged him to and bleeding]

For once, I must offer the city thanks for returning my inspiration. To watch your people cry out in suffering over the last few days and remain so inactive... and you say there's nothing we can do, that we're all at the mercy of the deities. I don't believe there is anything in this existence that is not worth killing for.

As for me, after having a needle pierce through my flesh which has intimately sewn me to a traitor, I see no reason why I shouldn't kill.

I am not saying this is a declaration of war, but I am quite certain there are others who share my sentiments.

Within a short time, I've become intimately acquainted with this oppressive form of rule. The sounds of pain and suffering from the city stir something inside of me that's been dormant for far too long.

Hm... it seems I've arrived in another city. Though the state of chaos and disorder are not too different from those I've experienced under the Amanto rule in Edo.

Only time will tell whether or not this place is worth destroying. Until then, carry on naively.
